Formed in 1980, our UK-based company publishes foreign language phrasebooks and textbooks. These are available in popular foreign languages such as French and Spanish, Japanese and Chinese
For schools and self-study we also offer Chinese learning textbooks. The first in the series of Chinese learning textbooks is 'The Chinese Classroom', which is aimed at absolute beginners to Mandarin Chinese. This Chinese learning textbook includes an MP3 CD.
To respond to the ever-increasing growth of the tourism market we have developed a range of phrasebooks under the Travelmate banner. At a pocket-friendly price, the Travelmate range of phrase books include common words, phrases and cultural references. With French, German and Chinese Travelmates (and more), these pocket-size books are just as useful as your passport.
The advantage of the Travelmate range (including our Chinese phrasebook) as compared with most phrase books is that they are more user-friendly and are presented in an easy-to-read A-Z format. Each book includes travel tips and maps, as well as crucial pronunciations and typical phrases.
